Roman Organic-Form Travertine Freestanding Bathtub

The Roman is carved from a single continuous block of Roman travertine — no joins, no composite core, no applied surface coating. Roman travertine is quarried in central Italy and has been used in landmark architecture for over two thousand years, including the Colosseum. The warm cream tones, horizontal layering and characteristic natural pitting of the stone run through the full depth of the block and are visible across every carved surface of the bath.

The Roman has an asymmetric organic profile — one end rises significantly higher than the other, creating a natural high-back reclined bathing position. This is fundamentally different from a conventional oval bathtub where the walls rise to a consistent height all the way around. The form is fluid and vessel-like, shaped to follow the body rather than conform to a geometric specification.

The Roman at 1760mm x 850mm requires professional installation by an experienced stonemason or bathroom installer.
