The Meteora is a square glass-top coffee table supported by four freestanding Nero Marquina marble forms a sphere, a cylinder, a pyramid, and a cube. Each shape is carved from solid stone. Together they hold a 1200mm square tempered glass top at 220mm above the ground.

The four geometric forms can be positioned freely beneath the glass. We recommend our proportions for balance, but the arrangement is yours to determine spread them wide for an open, architectural look or cluster them toward the centre for something more considered.

Nero Marquina is quarried in the Basque Country in northern Spain. It is one of the few genuinely black marbles a deep, opaque black with sharp white veining that runs in fine lines across the surface. Against the transparency of the glass top, the four stone forms read as pure sculpture. The table is as interesting from above as it is from the side.

The name Meteora references the Greek monasteries built atop isolated rock formations structures that appear to float above the ground, supported by stone below. The same tension between weight and lightness is what defines this table.

Can the four marble base elements be repositioned?

Yes — the sphere, cylinder, pyramid and cube sit freely beneath the glass top and can be arranged to your preference. We recommend our standard proportions for optimal balance and stability, but the configuration is yours to determine. The glass top rests across all four forms simultaneously
