Craftsmanship

We take great pride in ensuring the utmost quality of stone and craftsmanship in every piece. Due to the inherent nature of natural stone, variations in color or pattern may occur, adding to its unique charm.

Please note that the images on our website serve as a reference only. If you prefer to inspect the stone before production, we can provide samples or slab images for your order. Each Elsa piece is distinct due to the natural characteristics of the material.

Embrace the uniqueness of your piece; that's the beauty of natural stone. No two pieces are identical, making it exclusively yours.

Stone being a natural product may contain fissures, cracks, holes and pits. These are not faults and are inherit within the stone which stems from the time the block is extracted from the mountains in the quarry it comes from. Whilst this product pictured is the exact product you will be receiving with the purchase, photos taken may show a slightly different representation due to angles and lighting used during photography.

Please take the time to read over our carefully crafted care guide to make sure you treat your Elsa Home & Beauty piece with Tender, Love & Care.

The Forma is a Patagonia quartzite dining table 2200mm long, 1070mm wide, seats eight with a rectangular top and chamfered corners that give it an octagonal profile, supported by two solid faceted quartzite pedestals. The top, the chamfered edges and both pedestals are all carved from the same Patagonia quartzite block. There is no mixed material, no brass, no metal the table is entirely stone from surface to floor.

The two pedestals are the defining detail. Each one is a thick, multi-faceted column the faces are cut at precise angles so the stone catches light differently across each surface. Viewed from the side the pedestals read as architectural; viewed from the end they reveal the full depth of the faceting. The chamfered corners of the top echo the angular language of the pedestal the geometry of the base and the top are in direct conversation with each other.

Patagonia is a Brazilian quartzite harder and more resistant to etching and scratching than marble, making it one of the most practical natural stones for a surface used daily for dining. The stone's characteristic patterning large dramatic formations of white, amber, grey and charcoal moves across the surface in sweeping geological formations. At 2200mm the full pattern plays out across the top without repeating. Every slab is unique.

We spent upwards of $10K on furniture last year and couldn’t be happier with the experience not to mention the products themselves. Costa was In constant communication with us which we appreciated even though they took longer than initially quoted. Everything is still holding up well and in great shape!! We are planning to order a few items soon so I am hoping the service is just as good this time around!

I have to admit, at first I was skeptical because the items seemed so reasonably priced, but I was quickly proven wrong after just a short conversation. We are thrilled with our custom-made Green Onyx coffee table from Elsa Home & Beauty, it truly feels like we made the perfect choice! Visiting the showroom really helped us appreciate the variety and quality of the stone options, thank you for bringing our dream piece to life!

Common Questions

What is Patagonia quartzite and how is it different from marble?

Patagonia is a Brazilian quartzite — a metamorphic rock that is significantly harder and denser than marble. Unlike marble, quartzite is highly resistant to etching from acidic foods and drinks, which makes it a more practical choice for a dining table surface used daily. The dramatic patterning — large sweeping formations of white, amber, grey and charcoal — is a result of the stone's geological formation and cannot be replicated in any synthetic material. Every slab is completely unique.

What is the chamfered corner profile on the Forma?

The Forma's rectangular top has its four corners cut at an angle — a chamfered profile — which gives the table an octagonal silhouette when viewed from above. This detail serves two purposes: it softens the visual weight of a 2200mm rectangular top, and it echoes the angular faceting of the two stone pedestals below, creating a consistent geometric language across the entire piece.

How does the Forma differ from the Sienna Patagonia Quartzite Dining Table?

Both tables are made from Patagonia quartzite but they are entirely different in form and material combination. The Sienna is an oval table on three brushed brass cylinder legs — a mixed material piece that seats up to 12 at 2900mm long. The Forma is a fully stone piece — rectangular with chamfered corners, on two solid faceted quartzite pedestals, seating 8 at 2200mm. Choose the Sienna if you want the stone and brass contrast at a larger scale. Choose the Forma if you want an entirely stone table with architectural geometric detailing.
